The following is a clip excerpted from a past Network for Responsible Public Policy program Gun Violence: Myths, Realities, and Solutions.

Gun violence has created an atmosphere of fear in our public spaces including sanctuaries such as churches and synagogues and is not without its financial burden on taxpayers.  While most Americans strongly desire sensible gun laws, crave safety, and do not want to take away guns from responsible gun owners, enacting sensible gun laws across America is not happening.  This program will explore some of the legal complexities, shatter myths, and examine possible solutions.
